Ok. This is another school post then I’m going to shut up on the subject for a while. I’m also going to brag and toot my own horn because I just impressed myself.

As your probably have read, I took Differential Equations/Linear Algebra pass/fail. I had the credit already so I just needed to brush up on it. I also had two other classes and I wanted to put my focus into those because I had to take them for a grade. As such, I blew off DE most of the summer. I didn’t do a lick of homework and the textbook is still in mint condition. My studying consisted of nothing more than reviewing lecture notes the morning of a test.

I got the highest score on the final.

All those grade points gone to waste.

I also got the 2nd highest score on my Biology final (48/50) and clinched the A.

I’m done with my DE final. I think I did good enough, which is good enough. DE and Bio are now done. I have one more physics lab to write up, a problem and a test all in two weeks. I can now focus all my attention to that.

I’m writing from the Northrop plaza in one of the few places I can find on campus where you can get wireless access outdoors.

I got physics in a half hour, after which I’m going to go home and take a nap.

I had a decision to make last night. Either study late or study early. I opted for early. I had my biology final last night, which I feel very confident about. I doubt if I got more than a few wrong. I have my DE final in 3.5 hours. My expectations for myself are low. All I have to do is pass the course and I got a 94% on the last test. The practice questions we had for the final are all pretty easy and just cover the basics of what we did in class. To quote myself, all I have to do is “suck less” than everyone else because the class is on a curve.

My lawn has automatic sprinkles that I have no control over. They go off at 3am and which I have my windows open, it sounds like a gunshot going off and usually does a good job of waking me up.

I’m so pissed, I had dreams last night. Its been almost 24 hours and I’m still so pissed I’m shaking. I’m that pissed.

I aced my physics test……or so I thought. The test consists of 14 multiple choice questions and two word problems. Both of the word problems were similar to ones we did in discussion, so I was very confident on how I did on them. Well it turns out that one of the solutions our TA did in discussion was wrong, which means everyone in our discussion group got one of the problems wrong because we solved the discussion problem incorrectly.

I got everything right save for that problem. The err made in our discussion group wasn’t even that big of an error, and had we done it correctly, I’m sure no one would have made the same mistake on the test.

I have no problems if I screw up. That happened on the previous test where I didnt’ study enough. But I studied my ass off on this test and was working with incorrect information.

I got my last midterm back in DE. We get the best 4 of 5 recorded for our grade. Oddly enough, the one test where I was the highest above the mean is probably the one that will be dropped. I did the worst on that test, but everyone else did really bad.

Its 4:45 and I have 15 minutes before my biology lecture starts. Even with two finals this week, it will be easier than that last week. I feel like a huge burden is off my back. It will be even better next week. Given my course load this summer, I should be able to do this fall no problem.

I think i’m going to cease writing updates on school and move them all to a different weblog. I’ll keep this one to things more irrevelant…..like dead astronauts.
